HOW TO INSTALL THE 103B WHEEL KIT
Make sure all weight is off the lift before trying to move it, or applying the weight of the lift to the wheels. Raise the bed of the lift so it is out of the way when installing the wheel kit. With the lift sitting on a level surface, adjust the leveling legs on the lift to approximately 15″ high. Bolt the axle stub and plate assembly to the side of the lift on the bottom tube so the axle stub is outside the lift. Use the provided backer plate and four 3/8″ carriage bolts, washers, and nuts. Tighten all four bolts to secure the axle stub in place. A set of 4″ and a set of 5″ carriage bolts is supplied with each wheel kit. Use the 4″ bolts for tubes up to 3″, and use the 5″ bolts for 3.5″ tubes. Next, place a pin through the holes in the axle stub that is closest to the plate. Then, slide one of the provided 3″ washers onto the axle stub before adding the tire and the second 3″ washer. Place the second pin through the remaining holes in the axle stub to keep the wheel on the axle. When the wheel kit is not in use, we recommend removing the wheels to prevent damage, especially if it sits in water with a current or the lift is stored outdoors in the winter. The wheel kits are recommended to be placed on the outside of the lift frame, but can be positioned to the inside if they interfere with the placement of the lift next to docks or other lifts. If you desire to place the wheels inside the boat lift frame, make sure they will not affect the boat placement or the overall function of the lift.
