How To Install Truss Dock Slip Bracket
The slip bracket’s main use is to attach additional dock sections when there is no solid connection available, such as when attaching a new section perpendicular to the main run. Position the first slip bracket onto the bottom one by one inch tube of the existing dock frame. Tighten the set screw using a half-inch wrench. Repeat for the second slip bracket, placing it on the existing dock at the widest point allowed by the additional section. With the slip brackets secured on the existing dock, lower the additional dock section into the remaining bracket channels. Tighten the set screw on each bracket to secure the additional dock section. Truss Dock slip brackets can also be used to connect dock sections end-to-end for quicker installation and removal. However, they do not provide as strong a connection as bolts when rolling your Truss Dock in and out of the water. Because of this, you may need to disconnect them each time before moving the dock.
