HOW TO USE THE LIFT-ASSIST TOOLBAR ON YOUR BOAT LIFT

The Lift-Assist Toolbar is helpful in breaking the lift posts free from the lake bottom and guiding the lift when pulling it from the water. Make sure your boat and all other weight is off the boat lift before using this tool in any fashion. Loosen the two set screws on the toolbar using a 1/2″ wrench. Adjust the loosened slide to the width of one of the four post tubes. Tighten the set screws to lock in the adjustment. Place the vertical lift tube between the two short pipes of the lift assist tool and lift up on the toolbar. Use smart lifting techniques to avoid injury. Repeat as needed to loosen each post from the lake bottom.
